Description
The successful candidate will have considerable experience of VLE Site administration. You will have specific responsibility for the support, maintenance, and administration of Moodle VLE/ELearning. The Moodle Administrator/Tech Support position will become a member of the IT team and is responsible for configuring, maintaining and administrating of my clients Moodle LMS application
Responsibilities:
- Administer Moodle queries
- Provide technical support for queries in relation to Moodle
- Provide and prepare LMS consulting, training and technical documentation
- Provide day to day issue resolution and support to key stakeholders
- Regulate and enforce the RCSI Moodle style guide and course structure standards and guidelines
- Provide guidance on best practice in Moodle site/course structure in relation to online learning
- Stay current with technical trends and research improvements for the College's LMS
Requirements:
- At least two years' experience in development and administration of Moodle LMS
- Working knowledge of relational database concepts, Client Server concepts, systems security, authentication systems, disaster recovery, and service life cycles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Patience in stressful situations
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Excellent problem solving & Multitasking skills
