We are looking for experienced Programme Managers (software development projects), able to set up and run a Programme Office in a tailored Prince 2 environment.

Among others, the tasks of the programme office will be:

  • Risk Management (eg propose the risk management strategy, design the related procedures, create the risk register, maintain the risk register)

  • Issue Management (eg propose the issue management strategy, design the related procedures, design the escalation procedures and processes, create the issue register, maintain the issue register)

  • Configuration Management (including management of the project/programme document libraries and other artefacts)

  • Programme/project resource management

  • Project Status reporting & Measurement based reporting

  • Change control management (administer the change control process)

  • Planning and scheduling

The work will take place in two phases and among others the tasks will be as follows:

Phase 1: Set up a Programme Organisation and Office

  • Establish the programme organisation

  • Complete the programme definition

  • Set up the programme office

  • Set up programme/project processes, standards and tools

  • Creating the content/artefacts for the related programme/project processes and standards by using the selected tools

Phase 2: Working in the Programme Office

During this period the Programme is up and running, based on the processes and standards created during phase 1 and tasks are among others:

  • Maintain the programme/project processes and standards

  • Maintaining the content/artefacts for the related programme/project processes and standards

  • Coaching others in the usage of the processes, standards, tools and artefacts

Required qualifications and proven experience in:

  • Setting up a programme office organisation and a programme office

  • Defining the standards of the programme/project plans

  • Setting up, maintaining and coaching on programme/project processes, standards and tools

  • Maintaining the content/artefacts related to programme/project processes, standards and tools

  • Creating and maintaining a programme plan

  • Defining processes related to the maintenance of the programme plan (in relation to the project plan); tracking estimates, capturing progress, forecasting

  • Programme and project planning techniques

  • Prince 2 practitioner (or equivalent certification)

  • Knowledge of/experience with recognised programme management frameworks/methodologies

  • > 5 year experience in the above mentioned activities/tasks

  • > 3 year experience in working in a programme office

  • Experience with programme/project management tools

  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project

  • Proactive attitude

  • Flexible

  • Attention to detail/thoroughness

  • Manage time, manage workload, manage progress
