Senior Procurement Delivery Manager

12 Month Contract
Up to £700 per day

My client, a leading Public Sector organisation, is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Delivery Manager to join their team onsite in Wiltshire. As a Senior Procurement Delivery Manager, you will be required to build on and expand my client's existing portfolio of framework agreements by eliciting requirements for future contracts from the business. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in both public and private sector procurement.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

*Lead on defining a strategy for our future frameworks which ensures efficiency in contract placement and value for money
*This includes the development of commercial models which facilitate supply chain engagement and maximize the flow of research funding to supply chain members that contribute innovation
*To speak to existing senior commercial staff to understand my client's business and elicit lessons from the past
*Provide a methodology, process and any appropriate templates for implementing future agreements
*Engage and communicate the new methodology, processes and templates to my client's in-house commercial staff
*The contractor will deliver to the Procurement Optimisation Programme Manager and technically responsible to my client's Chief procurement officer
*Provide commercial input to the wider strategy on supplier engagement
*Travel to other sites will be expected in order to elicit requirements for the future contracting models

Key Knowledge and Skills

*Fully qualified member of CIPS (MCIPS)
*A proven track record in both public and private sector procurement
*An in depth technical knowledge of Commercial practice
*Good knowledge of Public Procurement Directives
*Delivery and project management of business change
*A proven track record in delivering supplier relationships & savings in procurement
*Experience of process assessments and re-engineering
*A proven track record in delivering contracts that maximise client value and engage the supply chain.
*Demonstration of a deep understanding of public procurement processes and directives
*Demonstration of a breath of experience in designing procurement frameworks for contracts in excess of £10m
*Strong experience in leading procurement change within organisations
*Experience in designing strategic procurement approaches to meet business objectives
*Military Procurement with commercial would be a great advantage.
