Systems Engineer - SAN Storage - Dutch/EnglishAn experienced Dutch and English speaking Systems Engineer is needed for a long-term role in the Flemish Brabant region of Belgium.
You will be responsible for:
Daily management of the technical infrastructure
Evaluating corporate-wide systems to improve system performance and functionality
Performing maintenance tasks on existing test and production environments
Design tests and implementing back up, recovery and restart procedures
Executing software installations, creations / configurations, and loads
Monitoring and guarding the capacity and operational availability of the datacenter-twin in Belgium.
Operational telecom-responsibility, the communication between the 2 datacenters in Belgium, the communication between most of the international client-related entities and the (highly secured) communication links starting from the datacenters towards the outside world (including internet) , the naming & addressing issues and the network management tooling and infrastructure ?
installation and guarding the availability of the central server infrastructural components (like Citrix, VmWare, Windows, Unix and AIX ) and the Shared Environments OMAS, SLCM, SQL server installation
The successful applicant will have:
Extensive Systems Engineer experience with relevant and proven knowledge in this domain
Experience in the management and project work around the server - storage (SAN ) environmentincluding disk storage, SAN network and the associated backup environments
Management of Windows storage environments
RFI/RFP - technical project experience, Linux, open systems infrastructure management, open systems middleware, open
systems NT, open systems Storage, Open systems Unix, open systems hardware, Unix , Databases : Oracle, SQLserver/Sybase
