Looking for a Senior Application Packager with a NV1 level security clearance for a 3 month contract opportunity in Canberra.

The successful candidate will be an experienced professional with solutions in application package development, integration and implementation and experience maintaining a level of patch management in the environment. They will have involvement in the detailed design of package components, analysis and design of documentation standards for package configurations and patching process and has a sound understanding in one or more areas of specialisation.

Responsibilities
  • Produce high quality package modules and/or components plus documentation through the use of systematic, structured and analytical approaches to the analysis, design, development and testing activities in a variety of environments to contribute to the development or support of the customer solution.
  • Produce complex packages, especially within areas of specialisation and in a variety of contexts to contribute to the successful delivery of the customer solution.
  • Is able to simplify complex Legacy application packages to bring in line with industry best practices within customer expectations.
  • Is responsible for analysing, designing, coding, testing of packages and package enhancements.
  • Is familiar with the content of the services agreement between Fujitsu and the Client and is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with agreed service levels.
  • Can assume ownership of an incident, problem or enquiry through to resolution.
  • May supervise colleagues at Level 2 and Level 3 and allocate resources to make sure work is undertaken effectively and efficiently.
  • Estimates, plans, schedules and monitors own work, and more junior team member's work, escalating problems and queries to higher levels to ensure project timescales and client relationships are maintained and that the delivery of the requisite customer solution is on time.
  • Communicates fluently orally and in writing and presents complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences to provide a common understanding of a specific topic.
  • May undertake team leadership for less complex projects and teams of up to 8 members.
    Influences both technical peers and customers at a technical level and within own sphere of specialisation.
  • Works as a member of a team helping uncover, understand and document the customer's requirements to ensure that the scope of any solution is complete and meets customer needs.
  • Specifies and documents the technical requirements of part of the customer solution to provide a foundation for subsequent module design, specification and coding activities of the customer solution.
  • Ensures client infrastructure is up-to-date with the latest available patches according to approved process.
  • Enables fast turn around times for client patching process and is able to work after hours where required to ensure client systems are adequately patched.
  • Engages in continual process improvement activities in regards to application packaging and patching.

* System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
* Appsense
* Citrix PVS, XenApp, XenDesktop
* VMware ESXi/vSphere Client
* Wise/Admin Studio/InstallShield
* Visual Studio
* Scripting (eg Powershell, Visual Basic)
