Solution/Infrastructure Architect
9 month contract
Dublin South
A 9 month contract role for a senior level Infrastructure Architect currently exists within a large well-known multinational organisation.
In addition to being technically proficient it is essential that you can demonstrate direct interaction with key business sponsors including CEO, CFO & CIO.
It is the responsibility of the solution architect to ensure that the solution meets the client's requirements, integrates with existing infrastructure architecture and aligns with ITD standards.
Define/Agree the Architectural deliverables required for the specific RFS, Project or Programme or work.
This can include standard Account Work-Products (ie Technical Architectural Reports) as well as any topic-specific deliverable necessary to progress to define the architecture
Key Deliverables
The following deliverables should be expected from an architect resource providing architectural services to the RFS process and its stakeholders:
Requirements qualification statements or document articulating the technical requirements for the solution. This is provided to the TSM/RFS Managers.
Areas to be covered include:
Functional requirements - security, platforms, performance, Helpdesk, IT continuity and Business continuity requirements
Non functional requirements - ie Backup, archiving, housekeeping, database reorganisation, batch windows, Helpdesk, Incident, Problem, Change, recovery requirements, storage, networking, Availability requirements - Service Levels, Hours of Operation
Solution architectures
Architectural Method Work Products ie Technical Architecture Reports (Systems Context, Architectural Overview, Architectural Decisions, Operational Model etc)
The solution architect provides architectures for inclusion into the SOW. Architectural overviews and decisions may be included in the SOW.
The TSM, in collaboration with the solution architect, will engage the required Subject Matter Experts or 3rd Party vendors to help shape the overall solution. When the SOW is complete, the solution architect may be required to support meetings with the customer to explain and describe the solution.
