Description
My client, a leading financial institution, has an opening in their Regulatory Reporting Team, Has principal control to report to the PRA/EBA financial and risk information for Common Reporting (COREP) and Enhanced Capital Reporting (ECR). COREP templates are required to be reported to the PRA/EBA every quarter within 30 working days and ECR every month within tight deadlines.
The Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for external market regulatory reporting (Results Announcement, Pillar 3 Disclosures etc), IRR reporting, ad hoc regulatory submissions and the provision of internal advice and guidance on regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and/or completion of the COREP and IRR templates and ECR schedules for submission to the PRA/EBA.
* Provide assistance to country and business units on the treatment of capital and RWA.
* Explanation of key variances, trends and preparation of commentaries for capital and RWA.
* Interpretation and guidance to country, business units and Head Office on PRA and EBA rules under Basel III/CRD IV.
* Assistance with ad-hoc queries related to capital and RWA eg structured transactions and securitisations.
* Development and maintenance of the policy and procedures.
* Contribute to the Bank's response to Discussion and Consultation Papers and Technical Standards on regulatory developments and changes from the Basel Committee, PRA, EBA and others.
* Participate in industry forums (eg BBA) on regulatory developments, as required.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of regulatory projects.
Required Skills
* Qualified Accountant with experience in financial services especially in regulatory reporting, particularly COREP and IRR reporting of Capital, RWA, Large Exposures and Leverage reporting
* Experience of working under pressure to produce high quality reporting in a highly controlled environment
* Experience of financial and management reporting within banking.
* Detailed knowledge and experience of Basel III/CRD IV.
* Detailed knowledge and application of Microsoft desktop packages including Excel and Access
