Systems Analyst/Developer - C++, Scripting, UNIX/Linux - £350 - £400 per day
London, 6 months contract
My client are a full-service tier 1 investment bank who are looking for a C++,Scripting and UNIX/Linux Systems Analyst/Developer to join one of their key teams which focuses on analysis and analytics relating to trading and trade flow. This team develops cutting edge technology solution and analytics tools for trading & sales across multiple desks including electronic trading, programs, cash and derivatives.
On a given day, your responsibilities will be wide and varied. You will be developing, maintaining,enhancing and re-engineering various applications used by the teams. This role will require you to be hands-on; my client are after someone who is open to learning new things quickly despite a number of years of experience.
You will have strong background within C++ development ideally as a C++ developer and demonstrate a high degree of proficiency withUNIX/Linux OS. Along with the above, you will also have an expertise in Scripting (Ksh/Perl), design patterns, XML/SOAP and Sybase or other relational data base. To ensure success, you will bundle all the aforementioned with your experience of developing Real Time Client Server, distributed, performance-critical systems.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Extensive C++ development/C++ developer experience
- Expertise in Scripting (KSH/Perl), Design Patterns, XML/SOAP and Sybase or other relational database
- Strong knwoledge and experience of UNIX/Linux
- Development of Real Time Client Server, distributed, performance-critical systems
