QA Engineer - Daily Rate (Multiple Requirements!) €400+ per day DOE
Duties & Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and manage all test automation activities for all active project delivery streams.
- Work intensively with Project Managers and Development Engineers, coordinating automated testing efforts within a mixed delivery model ie both Agile and Waterfall development environment.
- Establish clear controls and communications procedure with offshore test partners.
- Management of the project bug database and database workflows.
- Responsible for test reporting (both internal and external)
- Responsible for developing an automation test strategy for QA and driving this forward in partnership with our off-shore vendors
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for both functional & non-functional scenarios.
- Work very closely with developers to review unit and functional automation test coverage to ensure QA goals are met
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar technical qualifications, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of five years' experience leading and managing a test automation
- Requires thorough knowledge of testing methods and the software development life cycle
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum and representing the voice of QA during sprint planning.
- Web and mobile applications testing experience
- Must have experience with automated tools
- Very beneficial to have experience in writing and executing automated test scripts (Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Perl, C#, Selenium, MS Visual Test Studio etc.)
- Must be highly process orientated.
- Must have extensive experience using generic Test management systems and defect tracking databases.
- Requires good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with Enterprise level web systems, multi-tiered Client Server technology is a must.
- Requires strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills
- Pro-active, self motivated, results oriented
- Experience working with outsourced Development and QA Teams
Highly Desirable
- Working knowledge ofAtlassian product suite ie Jira, Confluence and Bamboo.
- Experience with Continuous integration process using Bamboo or Jenkins.
- Background knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) or other 2nd generation agile methodology.
- Use of protractor automation tool and Scripting in JavaScript.
