Compute Change Coordinator

Requirements

* Four years of practical experience in the provision of service support function, particularly the Change processes within a large IT organisation.

Technical Expertise

Ability to identify and specify information flows, processes/procedures and data objects that will meet business requirements.
Ability to identify, review and challenge work processes to achieve performance enhancement.
Understand and operate the configuration system including the configuration management database by using the appropriate operating systems, hardware, tools and/or paper documents.
Ability to develop and implementing of Key Process Areas (KPAs) as directed.
Knowledge of the project life cycles, project initiation (scoping, sponsorship and strategy).
Knowledge in project organisation (project plan, milestones, activities and resources).

About the Role

* Administers the Change Management database (SM9) and SR tools for HP and BT, ensures accuracy and consistency of data and participates in all change management aspects of processing and implementing proposed Changes.
* Propose priorities and categorise changes; coordinating the production and distribution of a Forward Schedule of Changes (FSC); coordinates impact and resource assessment for all changes; assists change manager in obtaining necessary approvals to implement agreed changes; administers and interprets tests; and reviewing implemented Changes to ensure that the Change has met its objectives.

Responsibilities

* Participates in change management aspects of implementing "IT" projects, such as planning the sequence of change and rally stakeholders' support to change plans. Includes validating test plans are in place and executed before implementation.
* Assists in managing change requirements that are important for the production of a Forward Schedule of Changes (FSC) containing details of all changes approved for implementation and their proposed implementation dates. Includes agreeing the FSC with relevant customers within the business and other concerned parties such as SLM(TMs and ITMs), Service Desk and Regional Change Management.
* Propose priorities and categorise changes. Includes returning impractical requests to the initiator(not being approved by TAB), together with brief details of the reason for rejection, allocating priority based on the impact of the problem and the urgency for Remedy.
* Ensures impact and resource assessment
* Progress status of changes with service departments to ensure data is current. Interrogate the client/user database to produce reports for bodies involved in change review.
* Progresses the changes(SRs) with the external service providers following the proper procedures and maintaining the required tools from Initiation until implementation
* Coordinates and follows up to secure necessary approvals to implement agreed changes (financial, technical and business approvals).
* Tracks Change building, testing and implementation of authorised Europe Changes(multi region impact), in liaison with Region Change management, to ensure that related activities are both resourced and completed to schedule
* Administer and maintains the change management database(SM9) and other SR tools required for HP and BT, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
* Schedules and participates in reviewing implemented Europe Changes(multi region impact) after a predefined period has elapsed to ensure that the Change has met its objectives, customer satisfaction, or to identify any shortcomings, and that there have been no undesirable side effects to the functionality, capacity, performance, security, maintainability, and the back-out plan functioned correctly, if needed.
