Employee Relations Specialist - 6 months - Warwick - Negotiable Daily Rate

A leading Energy and Utility client of Hyphen is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to join their HR team based in Warwick. The client will be looking for strong HR focused professionals, highly skilled within Employee Relations case management, specifically within a Strongly Unionised environment.

Key Tasks:

*To provide professional risk based advice, support and coaching to Line Managers when managing cases arising from the application of case management policies and practice, through all stages of procedure - sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance improvement, discrimination, bullying and harassment and drugs and alcohol.
*To manage assigned cases (typically sickness absence, grievance/DBH, performance improvement) and provide risk based advice, coaching and support to ensure consistency and efficiency in the application of related policies, up to and including dismissal
*To occasionally support on Stage 3 hearings and appeals
*To occasionally investigate discrimination, bullying and harassment allegations
*To manage key stakeholders, difficult and emotive situations and maintain/build trust with line managers, employees, hearing chairs, TU representatives, HRBPs, team colleagues
*Lead and/or support on projects as required eg policy reviews, including preparation of implementation and change plans
*Deliver formal learning and development interventions on HR Case Management Policies as required
*Maintain appropriate documentation and administrative records on a detailed and timely basis - written notes, sharepoint records, electronic records and ensure compliance with Data Protection policy.

Experience Required:

*Experienced HR professional with sound Employee Relations experience gained within a unionised environment
*Up to date 'employment law' expertise applied in Case Management related matters.
*Experience of advising on, and conducting complex investigations eg sexual harassment allegations, bullying & harassment allegations
*Experience of leading, facilitating and managing complex hearings and multiple stakeholders, up to and including dismissal within related policies; ensuring outcomes are addressed in the business
*Experience of reviewing, drafting & implementing related Policies & Procedures (eg Disciplinary, Grievance, Performance Improvement, Discrimination, Bullying & Harassment, Sickness Absence)
*Experience of implementing policies/managing cases concerning email & Internet abuse would be an advantage
*Experience of drafting, validating and negotiating Settlement Agreements would be an advantage
*Experience of training design & delivery (to up skill the Business in Case Management related policies) would be an advantage
*Team player focused on value creation, customer service and continuous improvement
*Clear and confident communicator (verbal and written) with commercial acumen and capable of managing difficult, sensitive and emotional situations
*Able to proactively build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and team members
*Able to work under pressure and deliver high quality work in a timely manner
*Able to manage a disparate workload, multi-task and prioritise effectively
*Able to confidently challenge current ways of working and influence and encourage change
*Experience of managing/implementing HR projects an advantage
*Knowledge of SAP/other HR System an advantage
