Management Accountant - Expense Management - Investment Banking
Canary Wharf, London - 6 months
RESPONSIBILITIES
*Month End financial control process - ensuring the validity of the EMEA Equities BCE expenses every month within tight month-end timeframe.
*Reviewing and overseeing journals posted by outsourced ELC teams.
* Producing accurate commentary on cost drivers, month over month movement in expenses and variance to budget and forecast.
* Support the budgeting, forecasting and estimate processes relating to BCE expenses for the EMEA Equities business.
* Engage with clients in the Front Office and support them with value added Reporting and MI to help develop their understanding and ability to influence costs as appropriate.
* Build own knowledge of internal trading systems and local BCE processes in order to provide SME advice to internal clients.
* Support colleagues in Efficiency Management and GNM with provision of accurate and transparent cost data to drive savings initiatives across EMEA Equities BCE space
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Qualified Accountant - CIMA, ACA, ACCA
* Advanced Excel
* Powerpoint
* Essbase
* Business Objects
* Financial Planning
* Interest in financial markets/products
* Background in financial reporting & analysis
* Experience in dealing with Front Office clients and senior management
* Strong focus on attention to detail
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
