Description
Role is for a financial analyst to support 3 directors.
Reporting:
Manage monthly IT initiative reports focusing on year to date actual vs. plan and year end forecast vs. plan.
Management of gross spend and chargeback variance reporting.
Support the monthly creation and distribution of the IT financial reporting package including the IT Officer View and initiative summaries.
Create product level reporting for key platforms.
Manage amortization reporting.
Provide ad hoc reporting as requested.
Accounting and Controls:
Support the inter-company chargeback process.
Support month end close process.
Oversees accounting practices and financial controls related to IT activities.
Consulting:
Create each Director's annual plans.
Provide financial analysis and support on complex decisions including business case evaluations.
Provide input into capital vs. expense and training on capitalization and useful life rules where appropriate.
Provide financial guidance to IT Directors and Project Managers to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Review Balance Sheet with Global CIO on a semi-annual basis for impaired assets.
Assist Directors and project managers in monthly financial analysis including SOX certification and variance analysis.
Support global funding models for IT products and services (intense modelling work).
Assist in the coordination of monthly projection & annual plan process.
Provide IT Finance training to customers on a regular basis.
SKILLS:
Experience:
3 - 5 years of experience in public accounting, consulting, or a related field.
Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting.
Comfortable working cross-functionally and with senior management.
Advanced Excel skills are critical. Experience working with complex financial models and creating templates.
Experience manipulating large data sets and turning them into usable information. Must be able to digest large data and present it to Senior Managers so they can perform their business analysis.
