Change Manager

Long term Consultant need for an individual who's career focus is organization development and Change Management around Program and Project Management. You must be a subject matter expert in Change Management and have experience in a consulting capacity to be considered. This particular opportunity is in the healthcare sector (not required but a plus).

We are seeking a Change Management Subject matter expert (SME) for a regional project in the downsizing of 5 hospitals and embarking on a major IT overhaul. With this there are 600 providers, providing services; these providers will be appointed a primary provider to manage them. Moving forward they have to interface and integrate with many new vendors to manage the hospitals.

Their network and infrastructure is outsourced to IBM and Dell.

All the five hospitals are silo's; they don't share technology, or use the same technology, they all have their own applications and systems like separate organizations, and they want them to become one as well as improve customer service and quality care to patients.

Job Description

  • Develop a Change Management Strategy, create and implement change management plans including conducting impact analyses, maturity assessments, and developing communication plans, training plans and usage and adoption campaigns, taking into consideration team and employee impact; user experience
  • Work with strategic Initiative Leads and other project team members to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan.
  • On an on-going basis, identify resistance and performance gaps, and work with leaders to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Support the execution of plans by employee-facing managers and business leaders, including coaching if needed.
  • Identify success metrics and perform those calculations for the change management efforts.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • 7+ years of change management experience specializing in organization development, change management and organizational communication with proficiency in program/project management
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Must be a team player and able work collaboratively with and through others

Education and Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED: BA/BS in Business Management, Organization Development, Communication, English or related field
  • PREFERRED: MBA/MA/MS in Organization Development, Communication or related field
