Senior DW Tester - Stockholm - 6months
My client is a market leading Retailer looking for a Senior DW Tester to our development and maintenance team.
ODW uses Informatica PowerCenter 9.0.1 as ETL-tool and the Netezza data warehouse appliance. For the Front End users, all reports are built in Cognos 10.2. The Cognos reports are mostly sourced from IBM Cognos Dynamic Cubes and in some cases, database tables.
The ideal Senior DW Tester must have a good knowledge about main testing processes and SQL database and be analytical. Also be able to work within an agile Scrum team with requirements analyst, solution designer, ETL developers, Cognos developers and other testers
The main areas of responsibilities as the Senior DW Tester will be
- Test of new and old functionality within ODW.
- Report defects and work with test tasks using Jira #
- Support to more junior testers (mostly offshore resources)
- Troubleshooting development and production problems.
- Write test cases
Senior DW Tester Activities overview
- Test of new and old data sources
- Test of new and old ETL functionality.
- Test of new and old Cognos reports
- Documentation, test cases, test results etc.
- Assist in solving production issues.
- Participate in Acceptance Test
Senior DW Tester Required skills
- Several years' experience of Netezza (or similar like SQL) databases
- Experience of retail is a plus
- Good knowledge of Jira
- Good analysis ability and skills.
- Experience and knowledge of Agile methods is appreciated.
- Experience and knowledge of Data Warehouse appliances is a plus
- Experience of star schemas in relational databases is plus
- Experience of Informatica Power center is plus
