Reporting/Systems Accountant, Financial Services/Insurance, Surrey.
A Surrey based FTSE 100 Financial Services Company are seeking a reporting accountant for an initial 3 month contract and have allocated £ per day for the right candidate.
As a reporting accountant you will be reporting directly into senior management and will act as the first point of contact for any systems development work impacting on the financial reporting function. This role will also include aspects of the Group/Regulatory reporting role. The International Senior Accounting Technician is responsible for taking a lead role in ensuring that source data used by the International Financial Reporting team is delivered on time, of a high quality and able to stand up to external scrutiny. The production of accurate and timely information is essential in order for management to manage the business, group and regulatory financial reporting obligations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the Insurance field, a good working knowledge of IFRS and UKGAAP reporting and have a recent history with in the Insurance and/or Financial Services industry
. In addition to this the following skills and experiences are essential.
- Must have financial services experience.
- Part or Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
- Commercial accounting experience.
- Involvement in annual budgeting & forecasting.
- Reporting Improvements - identify, document and validate new financial reporting requirements.
- Project Focused.
- Broad accountancy systems knowledge.
You will be a well organised individual with a good attention to detail and the desire to motivate to work in a fast paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are imperative, with the ability to produce clear documentation for both technical and non technical audiences. This role is based in a Surrey office but will occasionally involve travel to group sites with in the UK and internationally.
