My client is a multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company that is pioneering new business and software architecture to support next generation products and solutions. They are seeking a Senior Hadoop Engineer to design and build robust and scalable solutions for Big Data problems. You will be responsible for rapid development and design on JAVA/SCALA based Server Side software to prove the concept of prototypes.Desired Skills and Experience
B.Sc./M.Sc.in computer science, engineering science, software engineering or similar relevant discipline; with a minimum 5-7 years of applicable software development experience
Demonstrated practical understanding of the specification, design, documentation, coding, testing and release of commercial software
Fluent in JAVA & SCALA coding
Hands-on coding experiences with big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Storm etc.)
In-depth insights of popular big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Mahout, MLlib, Giraph etc.) and thorough knowledge of Big Data principles (data parallel, graph computing etc.) architectures and their implementations in large environments
