FMEA Electronics Engineer - Contract - West Midlands - Great Rates!

Our client needs IQFMEA experts that can manage the integration of all the relevant inputs (within the tool), oversee the top level FMEA, review input/accuracy, manage border (modules) integrity, arbitrate and flow down data for RPN scores, manipulate tool for customer reviews and present data/status etc.

  • FMEA generation and analysis using APIS IQFMEA tools.
  • Safety analysis in support of ISO 26262.
  • Managing FMEA process, and co-ordinating contributors.
  • Supporting customer interface and reviews.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • To undertake product FMEA generation through to detailed component level.
  • To ensure that all FMEAs produced are fully to process, of the highest quality and robust.
  • To provide timely support for safety analysis activities and planned design releases/customer milestones.
  • To assist in identifying verification/validation and test requirements.

Personal Characteristics

The ideal candidate for this position will:

  • Have a degree qualification in a relevant discipline (eg. Electronics) plus previous experience within the automotive industry.
  • Possess a minimum of 2 years previous experience of FMEA generation using IQFMEA.
  • Be able to demonstrate a proven background in electronic based products.
  • Show good prior knowledge of design validation, FMEA techniques and circuit analysis.
  • Have previous experience in a "safety" environment, preferably using ISO26262 or IEC 61508.
