For a project at our banking client site in Zurich, we are looking for an experiencedSenior Markit EDM Consultant (2612)
The Markit Enterprise Data Management (EDM) platform puts quality, audited data at the centre of customer’s organisations. Its solutions build gold copy masters across all data types, delivering tangible data governance, risk management and compliance frameworks and rationalising legacy architectures. The EDM platform is the central hub for all transactions, securities, prices, rates, counterparty and issuer data. Markit EDM empowers those who understand the data to manage the data, no matter the complexity, volume or scope of the project.
The role involves the following responsibilities:
> Make recommendations for implementation of new systems and technologies where appropriate.
> Provides consultancy for business improvements. Investigates and documents existing procedures. Discusses proposed solutions for complex systems
> Provides consulting services including identifying needs, developing, influencing, documenting and implementing proposals.
> Together with Project Manager establishes cost and time estimates for implementation.
> Supports the Project Manager on all business aspects and issues throughout the Implementation project life cycle.
> Overall conceptual design and lead architect of MarkIT EDM Implemenation
> Advise IMdb Development Team on MarkIT EDM Best Practice implementation
> Conceptual Design of a various Master solutions inc price, security & issuer
> Advise implementations options for a Security Matching concept
> Review of current implementation and design Target State
> Provide guidance and input on performance tuning of current and future solutions.
> To design and implement Bloomberg intraday request mechanism
> Carry out a QA of the existing Matching logic and help to further develop this going forward.
> Advise and develop an Engine to create custom benchmarks,custom carve-outs, spread benchmarks and absolute benchmarks
Your qualifications:
> Minimum of 5 years experience working with Markit EDM Implemenations
> Succesfully implemented Security Matching and Mastering concepts
> Candidate has worked successfully on implementations serving multiple front-office systems and understands the complexity in terms of delivering data at a fixed time
> Minimum of 6 month experience on Version 9.5 or higher
> At least 2 years of experience on GUI development
