For a project at our banking client site in Berne, Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced

IT and Business Project Manager in Banking in Bern (1687)

As project manager you fulfill an important position to plan, coordinate, execute and monitor the deliverables of three related projects at our client.

First project is a bank-wide solution for case management, which enables the business to manage hundreds of different cases in one system (e.g. workflow and case management systems) and processing cases from front to back office within our client.

It is currently used by > 10’000 clients in the bank and currently available for several front and back office centers Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, Italy and APAC.

Second project is a bank-wide solution for payment investigation case management, which enables the back office to manage several different cases and processing payment investigation cases within our client.

Third project is a bank-wide solution for the break management, which enables the back office to manage breaks within the payment process within our client.
It is currently available for several back office centers in APAC.

Project goals are:

Globally aligning product and processes in the international front and back office areas
Support the business models
Leveraging synergies within standardization
Streamlining of processes, achieving higher scalability
Adapt to regional and compliance regulatory and needs
Strategic functional enhancements
You’ll be responsible to develop project guidelines, to obtain business and information technology sponsor approvals and to plan and coordinate the resources necessary to successfully execute your project.

Major deliverables are:

Project guidelines
Work breakdown structures and effort estimations
Project plans and schedules, including resource- and cost plans.
Project execution aligned to our project standards based on CMMI level 3.
All project and process relevant artifacts based on our IT solution delivery policies.
Coordination of an international teams at different locations.
Regular risk management, cost management, issues and action items tracking.
Presentations at project steering committee.
Regular project status reporting to senior IT management.
Extensive stakeholder management.

Your qualifications:

Certification in Project Management (PMI/PMP or equivalent).
Strong communication and presentation skills in English and German.
Very good people skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team, highly motivated and performance oriented.
At least 8 years’ experience in Project Management, ideally in a financial institution.
Ability to travel to and work in Zurich, 1 day per week.
