Job Summary

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced SAS Implementation Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful implementation of a grid-based SAS implementation including Visual Analytics. In this highly visible role, the ideal candidate will gather detailed requirements, manage project scope, and oversee schedules to ensure business initiatives are delivered with high quality, on time, and within budget caps.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee an end-to-end SAS server-based implementation in our pre-production and production environments.

Support internal and external Project Managers on the implementations.

Coordinate the delivery of projects with internal and external teams while ensuring business requirements, delivery schedules, and budget are adhered to.

Complete risk assessments for projects and manage/mitigate those risks throughout the project's life cycle.

Identify, document, and escalate any performance issues and skills deficiencies of project team members to the appropriate management team.

Generate weekly status reports and dashboard for tracking overall progress and issue escalation, including comprehensive project metrics and trends.

Provide facilitation and oversight on implementation redesign if business changes are needed.

Build and maintain strong relationships with our business partners and vendors.

Ensuring project designs and specifications provide a reliable blueprint for implementation.

Communicating the role of the project manager to the project team and client by outlining authority, decision and communications chains.

Qualifications

United States citizenship is required for this position.
•Bachelor†s degree or equivalent required.
•Minimum of 5 years of project management experience required.
•Previous SAS implementation project management required.
•PMP Certification preferred, but not required.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
•Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to reach logical conclusions and prepare recommendations, focusing on the likely effects on goals, policies and procedures.
•Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage numerous projects, assuming a leadership role and accepting responsibility for attention to detail and timely completion.
•Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels of the organization.
•Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), relationship management, and customer service skills with a focus on working effectively in a team environment.
•Strong organizational, time management, and follow-up skills required.
•Demonstrates advanced computer skills including knowledge of Windows; ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, create pivot tables, and generate charts and graphs; utilize or develop moderately complex databases, may design and generate reports; display knowledge of web-based applications, and quickly gain skill with unit-specific applications
•Ability to work cross-functionally to solve complex problems and improve quality and service.
•Ability to perform involved and independent research and analysis.
•Ability to present and convey results of analyses to various audiences.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
