Looking for an experienced Software Developer working with C, C ++ and Linux. Contract opportunity for 2015. An opportunity to work with Legacy and virtual environments.
Work required:
Develop scripts to automatically transpose data from a Legacy system, containing:
- Audio
- Text
- Metadata
To an open format, able to be ingested into an existing system.
Your skills and experience will include:
- Programming experience in:
- C/C++ in Linux
- Working knowledge of databases: MySQL, Apache Cassandr
- Scripting Languages: Bash, Python
- In-depth knowledge of Linux (RHEL or Ubuntu).
- Knowledge of networks and protocols.
- Ability to install and maintain an Apache environment.
- Practical knowledge of virtual environments (VMWare)
- Ability to build and maintain a linux server in a virtual environment.
- Developing scripts and programs in Linux
- Developing scripts and programs that utilise databases APIs or sockets
- Developing and maintaining programs in a Virtual Linux environment
