Position Software Engineer:
Description
The development of Real Time software, to execute within the vehicle Electronic Control System, controlling diesel fuel injection equipment and other integrated engine and vehicle electronic systems.
Responsibilities
The software engineer's main activities will be drawn from, but not limited to, the following:
Software
- Manual coding of software from model specification using MISRA C under a defined process
- Configuration Controlled and Managed by ClearQuest/ClearCase
- Static Analysis using QAC to MISRA (plus local) guidelines
- Debugging Embedded software on target
- Use of RTW to generate auto code from Matlab/Simulink from executable specification
- For PowerPC (Diab Data compiler) and C167 (Tasking compiler) target platforms
- Configuration management
Testing
- Participate in software review, debug and analysis
- Software level module testing of hand written code using RTRT
- Software level module testing of auto generated code using Reactis
- Software level unit testing using Polyspace
Qualifications & Experience
Usually educated to degree level
Experienced in an Embedded application field
Previous experience in developing Real Time systems
Hands on experience on Matlab/Simulink and development of Embedded 'C' Code
Strong process discipline
