I am looking to hire an In-Service Engineer for our Defence sector client

Additional Info:

The aim of AES Team is to equip aircrew for their tasks, safety, and survival. We provide and support Aircrew Equipment Assemblies (AEA) and Survival Equipment (SE).

This scope includes: the clothing and equipment donned by personnel pre-flight; the restraint harnesses which they use to strap into in the cockpit or cabin; the emergency escape parachutes they use for emergency egress; and the liferafts and survival aids they need to survive and escape on the ground or water.

Primary Functions:

  • Technical input to support procurement activities.
  • Provide support to customers.
  • Defect investigations.
  • Problem solving.
  • Technical assistance for spares procurement.
  • Creation of Technical instructions.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • A comprehensive understanding of Aircrew Escape and Survival Equipment in the Air domain.
  • Mechanical engineering biased.
  • Develop and maintain engineering relationships with industrial partners.
  • Must have held a senior engineering supervisory position with knowledge of the military environment being a distinct advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advantageous to have experience of working within the Air Commodities area of the Client
  • Advantageous to have full project life cycle experience from initiation through development, test and delivery.
  • Project Management
  • Ability to undertake online training if the requirement for the use of asset management systems arises.
  • Working knowledge of Safety Measures
