3 Month Contract
£300 - £400 per day

My client, a leading public sector organisation, is seeking to recruit a skilled Contracts Manager to join their team onsite in the West Midlands. As a Contracts Manager, you will have responsibilities for specific contracts and their performance to ensure delivery of the best possible healthcare which meets national and local priorities. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in negotiation and performance management as well as a sound knowledge of current health sector policy drivers.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
*Lead the negotiation and proactive management of a portfolio of Contracts across a range of services and providers that support the policies and strategic direction of the CCGs taking into account national and local strategies, legislation and policy.
*Plan, negotiate and agree the financial value of the Contracts with appropriate providers on behalf of the CCGs, keeping within the budgetary allocation for the service portfolio.
*To work alongside contracting and finance colleagues to undertake complex information analysis and the development and establishment of systems in order to performance monitor the volume, value and quality of services provided through contracts and respond to deviations from plans.
*Review commissioned services at regular intervals, and identify any fundamental changes required.
*Work closely and have regular communication with contracting and finance leads at service providers to address risks and challenges to delivery of key targets.
*Lead negotiations to agree an end of year activity and finance position and to ensure payment/claw-back is agreed in line with Payment by Results guidance

Key Knowledge and Skills
*Experience of negotiation and performance management
*Experience of data management and analysis
*Experience of producing service specifications
*Knowledge of current health sector policy drivers and the commissioning agenda.
*Experience of constantly changing environment
