My client is an international cable company looking for a Solution/Data architect to work in a Solutions Design Architect role and be part of the Solution Architecture team. You will be responsible for developing and documenting Architecture solutions as needed, to solve a specific business project problem or larger enterprise problem while identifying implications of proposed and alternate options.

Responsibilities

*Providing and documenting Impact assessment, low level functional specs, create high level design documents to create the system and work with product business owner, development team to carry out the design.
*Developing business justification for proposed Architecture including cost benefit analysis and return on investment
*Participate and lead project design sessions to develop end to end solutions for complex business problems.. Interpreting internal or external business issues and recommend best practices.
*Ensure that delivery of projects is in alignment with enterprise technology direction, road map, business strategy, and effective total cost of ownership.
*Communicating the value of and the specific content of the defined architecture.

Requirements:

*Solution Architect must have minimum 8-10 years of experience designing and implementing complex architecture solution in BI, Big Data, Analytics, Data and Information Architecture, Data Integration, Master Data Management, Analytics, Data Warehousing, ETL. Prior Telecommunication domain experience with knowledge of CRM, Billing, Provisioning customer facing data, Telco products and Knowledge of TM Forum Frameworx (SID, eTOM, TAM)
*Extensive experience in the following aspects of Enterprise Information Management: Data Governance, Master Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Archiving, Data Retention, Enterprise Data Models (Common Data Model), Data Warehousing, Big Data, Business Intelligence (Reporting to Advanced Analytics) and Service Oriented Architecture.
*Experience developing data protection strategies, architectures, and implementation plans
*Data Solution Architect should have Strong ability to drive complex technical solutions which may include both Legacy and converging technology use at an enterprise level and business process change through education and partnership with stakeholders
*Negotiate, resolve, and prioritize complex issues and provide explanations and information to others on difficult issues
*Estimate and organize own work to meet or negotiate deadlines - lead/facilitate the creation of estimates.
*Preparing presentations (eg, PowerPoint) and white papers on data architecture and data management-related topics and issues.

Essential Skills:

*Experience with SOA Architecture, MDM and Reference Data Management (Full life cycle Development)
*Hands on experience leading architectural design of large scale Big Data Solution
*Experience and understanding of Data Discovery platform and Hadoop eco-system components meanly Oracle technology: BDA Environment(Cloudera Hadoop, Hive, Flume, Pig, MapReduce, Exadata, Exalogic, SQL, NoSQL .
*Experience with Data Warehouse, DataMart,
*Basic Experience with BI and analytic tools such as Hyperion, OBI EE,
*Basic Experience with ETL technology transformation as Power Designer Informatica
*Understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration tools as Oracle OFF, or Tibco
*Experience with at least one high level programming language is an advantage but not required in the daily job (eg Java, C++, PLSQL etc.)
*Data and Object Modeling (UML) by using different type of tools (EA, Erwin, Power Designer
*MS Visio, Powerpoint,
*Solid knowledge of information, software and technology infrastructure management
*Working knowledge of UML (Class, Use Cases Sequence Diagrams etc..).
