For our international client in London we are looking for an Internet Content Manager to join our global communications team.

Start:
Location: The Hague or London (preferred)
Period: 6 months (option to extend)
Fulltime (40 hrs./week)

Skills & Background

Demonstrable experience of the following is required:
Experience of web content management systems and analytics tools, particularly Adobe
Experience Manager and Adobe Analytics
Excellent understanding of SEO, accessibility, UX and social media
Proven written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent team working skills, awareness and understanding of cultural diversity

Responsibilities:
Deliver world class management of digital channels (websites, mobile apps) that meet the needs of internal stakeholders and external visitors, while managing time and quality expectations
Advise content owners and agencies on digital strategy development, communications and channel management, and content development and life cycle
Deliver an annual plan for priority countries that supports the country reputation plan, marketing plans and the needs of all lines of business in country, ensuring that each is using digital as an effective part of their communications/marketing mix
Be the subject matter expert for our client's digital channels
Responsible for content curation, website health and performance. Project management from brief to content archiving, focusing on pro-active consultation and advice while managing delivery through the offshore team
Manage offshore delivery team to meet targets, including prioritization of projects to ensure delivery deadlines are met, effective briefing, administration, correct use of processes and systems
Ensure standard workflow procedures and operating procedures are followed and optimized
Carry out content and site audits and make clear recommendations for improvements
Actively use measurement and analytics to inform content creation process and manage website health and performance
High levels of stakeholder and end-user satisfaction
Share and leverage knowledge and learnings with other Digital Channel Advisors. Know when to listen to others, provide coaching and be open to feedback
Ensure all processes and outputs are compliant with relevant HSSE, ethical, legal and branding policies - keep up to date with these policies

Experience and qualifications:
Degree qualified
Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic are both essential for this role. Arabic fluency will be tested during the interview process
Expert in digital communications with a professional communications background
Several years direct experience of managing WWW sites, preferably for large multinational companies
Passionate about digital and knowledgeable about industry best practices in managing corporate web sites including analytics, SEO, UX and accessibility
Proven ability to delegate and manage delivery through others to deliver a challenging and demanding workload
Strong project management and implementation experience coupled with a passion to overcome challenges
Confident and proactive in engaging and influencing internal stakeholders and content owners at all levels, as well as external agencies
Excellent interpersonal and analytical communication skills

This role does not have responsibility for the following:
IT activities, but an understanding of IT aspects of web and mobile app management is preferred.
Content creation, but the ability to advise subject matter experts on how to use our digital channels to engage their audiences is required

About the role

The role is responsible for managing our client's country websites in Africa and the Middle East, with the main regional activity in Qatar and Nigeria. Therefore fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is critical, as well as experience and understanding of working with African and Middle Eastern cultures.

The successful candidate will form part of a large and diverse global team and work with a wide range of internal stakeholders and content owners, plus a number of outsourced partners and external agencies. Key responsibilities include owning and implementing the strategy for each country website, advising on content development, producing reports and analysis, driving through projects and programmes of work throughout the businesses. The majority of interactions will be with colleagues based outside of the UK so proven ability to self-start and work effectively virtually are highly important.

This is an exciting role for someone with a passion for digital, who possesses excellent communication skills with all levels of stakeholders both internal and external. The successful applicant must have experience of managing websites for a large corporate, possess a professional communications background either in brand or marketing, and have a passion for the digital world.
