Cognos BI Senior and Sybase IQ Developer/Programmer Analyst
One of our prestigious clients is looking for a senior Cognos and Sybase IQ Developer/Programmer Analyst.
Required expertise:
More than 5 years' experience in IBM Cognos development. Expertise in Cognos BI (10.1) and particularly in Framework manager, Report studio, Query studio, Business Insight, Business Insight advanced. Excellent understanding of RDBMSs and particularly Sybase IQ (15.4). Technical skills and ability to liaise with business people. Business knowledge is a plus especially in financial domains. In-depth background in IBM Cognos suite. Evidenced practical experience in applications and/or projects developed using IBM Cognos suite. Multi-dimensional and Cubes modelling. BI principles and methodology background and in-depth understanding of rapid application development and agile (eg scrum) development methodologies are considered as strong assets.
Main responsibilities:
Design and develop Cognos applications using data stored in the data warehouse. Create an easy to use reporting layer for the end users. Develop the reports and dashboards requested by the business users. Define the scheduling requirements for the reports. Ensure a full testing of the applications, the reports and the dashboard delivered to the end users. Prepare the deployments & installation scenarios. Support the users in their development and usage of the Cognos tools. Handle Business Intelligence developments using Cognos suite. Based on your depth knowledge of both Business and Business Intelligence you will act as central contact point in order to design and propose suitable solutions which take into account the cost versus quality.
