A leading Financial Service are looking to hire an experienced Procurement Manager
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Aligns global and local procurement strategy to business priorities for Professional Services Category
*Advises project and business managers on strategic direction as it relates to sourcing decisions
*Leads sourcing initiatives for Professional Services Category, along with picking up General procurement that could cover IT, Travel, telecoms, & HR
*Leads and manages the strategic sourcing process ensuring established policies and practices (internal controls) are adhered to
*Manages the engagement monitoring process and project management execution for the category
*Creates value by determining total cost of ownership, driving quality improvements, creating innovative solutions, exercising demand management, leveraging supply chain expertise, managing suppliers and strategic outsourcing
*Analyses end-to-end processes and brings significant spend under management, transparency and procurement involvement in the category
*Ensures that identified savings in capital and N.ie are implemented, realized and sustained
*Analyses, develops and rationalizes supply base, ensuring value, stability, performance and market competitiveness are maintained and improved
*Builds supplier, category and market understanding through performance management, research and stakeholder briefings which result in the management of commercial issues throughout commissioning and procurement cycle
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Required:
*Minimum of 5 years sourcing experience at a professional level
*Excellent influencing and negotiating skills

*Strong client focus, relationship building and change mindset
*Solid financial and business acumen
*Effective project management skills
*Advanced knowledge in Software, Hardware and Telecoms categories
*Good understanding of eSourcing/eProcurement systems
*Strong organizational and political awareness
*Solid understanding of European Procurement Law implementing purchase contracts and supply agreements
*Solid knowledge of current banking related legislation within the IT space
*Solid knowledge of external commercial developments and emerging best practice
*Current understanding of the financial sector and the latest FCA regulations
*Able to work with minimal direction and under pressure
