Our client, a major telecommunication company are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their team based in London.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Be the key finance contact for all UK Access Services related financial queries.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that the monthly financial results are accurate and reported within the finance month end timeframe.
  • Be responsible, with the Accountant Access Services, for ensuring billing is up to date and reconciles with Sales Force information.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports for the Resources Manager and ensure that the Staff and Freelancer costs reports match the Agresso figures.
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly P&L forecast on Agresso.
  • Development of reports to allow Senior Management to better review the non payroll cost profile of the business and provide insight into the dynamic elements of this cost base.
  • Develop and prepare detailed, analysis focussed management accounts with variance analysis and commentary
  • Provide financial input to investment cases as required.
  • Provide information for and support the monthly KPI reporting
  • Monitor charges and ensure they are appropriate and correctly apportioned to the relevant area or contract.
  • Support the central team in initiatives to optimise cash and working capital where appropriate.
  • Managing the internal recharging, where appropriate.
  • Perform all standard accounting processes and routines through the month end to ensure accurate and timely financial and management reporting. This includes
  • Management of inter company trading
  • All standard accrual routines
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Reviewing control account reconciliations to ensure they are properly managed and cleared.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Newly Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or similar
  • Prior experience of working in the Media or Advertising industry would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working within management teams to deliver business results would be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to work accurately to tight deadlines and to organise and prioritise a diverse workload for diverse customers.
  • Ideally with experience of working closely with non finance staff in a growing commercial environment.
  • Previous experience of working alongside an operational manager, while reporting into finance.
  • Ability to manage expectations and juggle operational and financial department deadlines.
  • High proficiency in Excel. Previous experience of creating reports, summaries and schedules to communicate financial data to non-finance colleagues would be highly desirable.
  • Agresso/SAP systems experience would be an advantage.
