Web Developer - JavaScript + CSS + HTML

Description

My client located in Athens, Greece require a web developer to develop web pages and functionality for its online consumer and tradesmen portal plus new and exciting projects that the company will identify as strategically important.

The web developer will be part of the development team SCRUM process and will work directly with Java developers, other HTML/PHP Developers, a Quality Assurance Analyst and a Product manager to deliver new features, designs and improvements to the website.

Required Technologies

• Understanding of MVC Design Patterns
• AJAX, JSON
• JavaScript
• Using Source Control
• HTML, Responsive HTML, Cross-browser CSS

Desired Technologies

• Working within a LAMP environment
• Using REST resources
• MySQL
• JSP and Java: Tiles, Spring or Struts
• Knowledge of common design patterns used for modern web applications
• CSS Preprocessors (preferably SCSS)
• Javascript Frameworks
• Templating Engines (TWIG, Handlebars)
• Photoshop or Illustrator

Skills

• Working in an Agile team
• Web page implementation
• Web usability
• Search Engine Optimisation Techniques
• Design for Test Driven Development
