Scheduled Down engineer

Introduction

If you enjoy the challenges of improving the serviceability of complex and advanced high tech equipment, using your Engineering, organizational, and communication skills, you will successfully fulfil the position of Scheduled Down (SD) engineer within Access and Repair group, in your ability to specify co-design and deploy serviceability solutions.

Job Description

Increase products and processes robustness with a strong focus on;

New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, and the co-operation with the Development and Engineering (D&E) Sector.

Within a Program or across Programs by:

* Creating Periodic Maintenance schemes secure machine availability at customers site.

* Challenging D&E projects on choosing between time-based maintenance, cycle-based, and condition-based in order to further maximize availability and reduce maintenance costs.

* Analyzing availability impact of scheduled maintenance at customer site, pinpointing technical causes of maintenance delays and proposing and driving solutions to bring Scheduled maintenance back in time and cost budget.

* Identify safety and warranty related service activities.

Education

Bachelor or Masters Degree in a technical area, such as Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Optics/Physics.

Experience

* Several years experience in a multidisciplinary technical environment.

* Affinity with Service activities and specifically diagnostics and calibrations

* Broad scope (software, mechanics, electronics, IT infrastructure).

* Capable of doing analysis on new design to define the critical serviceability areas that shall require improvements

* Familiar with Design processes.

* Knowledge about data structure and modelling.

* Experience in one or more of the following areas:

Reporting infra structure and applications or related tasks/Project Integration/technical interfaces & dependencies.

* Strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills

* Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
