Claims Handler/Administrator - Insurance, Personal Line, Private Clients,
High Net Worth - Homeowners, Collections, motor, Yacht and Travel.

This role requires and experience claims professional to handle, investigate and process Private Client Group claims, which include Homeowners, Collections, Motor, Travel & Yacht.

Responsibilities and Purpose of the role:
- Contribute to ensuring the Unit's Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are met and that personal objectives are achieved.
- Comprehensive knowledge of claims handling, inclusive of claims and litigation procedures, products and services.
- Demonstrate the ability to make the correct decisions on legal liability and assessing the need for investigation or rehabilitation where applicable, taking a practical approach where and when required in order progress claims to settlement.
- Commercially skilled to advance cases to settlement by taking into account all aspects, eg customer, litigation risk, profit centre, etc
- Build relationships with internal and external customers including OSPs, Brokers, Clients and Claimants by attending client meetings and acting as a dedicated point of contact
- Culture: Act as a role model for the Team, leading by example to promote a pro-active and
- Taking personal and collective responsibility to ensure compliance with the Legal & Regulatory framework within which claims handling sits
- Be aware of any forthcoming changes to legislation that will impact upon the Department and to ensure that sufficient planning is in place to cater for the same.
- Ensure that the Team complies with a robust approach to financial crime specifically fraud screening without compromising the integrity of the claims handling service
Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Claims experience in personal lines claims, preferably in the High Net Worth Market dealing with some or all of Homeowners, Collections, Motor, Yacht and Travel.
- Proven significant experience in an insurance or legal based environment handling claims including those of a complex nature with extensive understanding of claims procedures, products and services.
- A flexible team player who can work with no supervision or referral except where internal or external policy dictates this is required.
- Working knowledge of MS packages (outlook, word and excel)
- Confident & effective communicator both verbally and in writing with excellent call handling skills and the ability to convey by telephone a range of information.
