Description

This position is ideal for someone looking for a new challenge and experience with front-end web development.  Well-qualified candidates will have development and problem solving skills along with some experience using front-end web technologies to develop responsive web applications. Some of these technologies include:

  • Responsive Frameworks (e.g. Foundation, Bootstrap)
  • JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, Backbone)
  • CSS
  • HTML
 The ideal candidate will collaborate with our team using modern approaches to user experience design and implementation. Our team prioritizes responsive design, universal design principles that ensure accessibility and multi-platform mobility, and user interface development.  

Experience with version control (git preferably), graphical design, and some involvement with server side technologies such as, Java / .NET / PHP is a plus.

Responsibilities range from design to hands-on implementation, testing, and debugging.  

This position will work as part of a team of developers, helping customers to design, build, and deploy web content using WiscWeb CMS, our campus-wide content management system backed by OpenText (see http://www.doit.wisc.edu/wiscwebcms). Additional responsibilities will include working on front-end development tasks associated with application development projects as well as an opportunity to learn and grow in the web development space.
