Description
To develop and electronically author service information for delivery via the Information System to dealers and customers worldwide. Utilize the Authoring system and/or Desktop Publishing applications to develop and electronically author a variety of service information types used to operate, maintain and repair customer equipment. This information is based on complex research of product service requirements and must be completed in a timely, accurate manner. The Authoring system is an SGML (ISO standard) based proprietary system that provides data intelligence by means of tagging content and structure that enables documents to be published electronically in the format specified by the engineer.SKILLS:
Background/Experience:
- Requires Service Information Engineer experience.
- Must be capable of using a variety of complex systems/software and digital photographic equipment to research and develop service information.
- A four year engineering or technology degree is preferred, however, significant experience within SID, demonstrated technical writing skills, or hands-on iron mechanical skills will be considered.
- Candidates must have good mechanical aptitude, a customer focus, initiative, planning & organization skills, good communication skills, and the ability to travel if required.
- Candidates must be team players, have the ability and desire to learn complex technologies, and have good interpersonal and mentoring skills
