Description
Synergy Consulting Group is looking for a Server Administrator for a year long contract with a Fortune 500 company in the Cleveland, OH area.
To be eligible for this position you must have experience decommissioning Servers.
Salary for this position is $35 per hour.
In this position, you will be responsible for the daily dispatch operations for MIDRANGE server decommissions to include the decommissioning of web applications and database instances. You will be responsible for the review, validation and approval of all MIDRANGE server decommission requests submitted to the Decommission Factory.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordination and validation of all incoming MIDRANGE server decommission requests related to Windows and Midrange Servers and ensures all requests submitted to the Decommission Factory are processed in a timely manner with all identified issues promptly addressed and resolved.
From time to time, you will be required to submit requests for hardware removal at remote locations as part of the Factory workflow.
In addition, the dispatcher will be required from time to time to review, correct and input bulk decommission requests submitted to the Factory. You will also serve as the backup to the Server Decommission Coordinator.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in IT related field. (Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences, etc). Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education
7+years of experience; 9 to 11 years of experience is preferred
2-5 years of large enterprise experience as a Windows or Midrange Server Administrator supporting an installed base of at least 5000 Windows and Midrange Servers
Minimum of 1 year provisioning experience within the past 3 years
Must have one of the following: Windows administrator experience, 5 years hands on experience as a Windows 2003 server administrator and a minimum 3 years' hands on experience as a Windows 2008 server administrator within the past 4 years
OR
5 years hands on experience as a RHEL/Oracle(SUN)/AIX administrator within the past 7 years
Minimum 2 years' experience administering VMware server guests
Minimum of 3 years of Change Management experience
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) interpersonal and leadership skills. Professional communication with a can-do attitude
Ability to identify, interpret and evaluate system, network and storage decommission requirements
Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
Critical Skills Requirements
