A Leading Finance and Wealth Management firm are looking to hire an aspiring Financial Planning Intern.

Role purpose

To provide support with respect to all areas of financial planning advice and regulated products.

To support Financial Planners and Private Wealth Management in general, and to ensure all aspects of the Client's experience with the company are dealt with in a professional, accurate and timely manner.

Key accountabilities
Providing full administration support to Financial Planners and Financial Planning Assistant.
Liaison between various departments within the Bank, especially Private Wealth Management.

Main tasks

Measures of performance

Administration

*Obtaining quotes, personal illustrations, key features documents and application forms from the research websites or by phone.
*Issuing letters of authority to providers and checking that once a response is received that all requested information is included.
*Working on existing business and supporting both the regional Administrators and London based Private Banking Assistants with any financial planning products their clients may hold.

New Business

*Vetting all new business application forms ensuring they are complete with all the necessary compliance documentation.
*Processing and logging of new business and chasing it through to completion. Also, logging of new business on the new business spreadsheet.
*Informing Financial Planners of any problems being encountered with the Provider that will delay timely processing.
*Informing both the Financial Planner and Private Banker once the new business has completed and checking all policy documents are correct before sending to the client.
*Checking the file is completed in a compliant manner and that the white sheet has been completed by the relevant Financial Planner.

Record Keeping

*Maintaining database. Ensure template letters are accurate and insurance company details are up to date.
*Confirming policy values ad hoc and on periodic basis

Various
*Organising client files and documents for onward scanning once case has been checked and is complete.
*Participating in and contributing to any project work that the team has to undertake.
