A Senior Software Test Engineer is needed for a leading OEM Manufacturer. My client provides its services and expertise into multiple high tech sectors to create breakthroughs in fighting diseases, developing new energy solutions, study space, understanding details of cells and molecules, and increasing power of communication. With its teams, at six production sites in Europe and Asia, they develop and build cutting edge solutions for customers all over the world. This position will be a long term contract (with option to turn permanent), and the work location is The Netherlands.Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Configuration, Test and Integration Engineer, you will work in a multi-disciplinary team (mechanics, electronics and software). Your main responsibility will be in the software engineering identification, building, testing and integration of establishment and designated baselines. This includes creation of records, classifications and analysises, as knowledge is gained, as well as engineering and software change requests.
Another aspect of your work will be to research, create and deploy policies that support the continuous improvement and automation of software development. Also education of development teams on operation of continuous improvement, automated build system and related methodologies.
Job Requirements
At least 10 years of configuration, build, test and integration management/engineering experience in the embedded / OEM software engineering domain, having worked in multidisciplinary development teams with an academic, working and thinking level.
You have hands-on experience in:
- Git, Clearcase, SVN, TortoiseHg
- Atlassian Stash, Gradle, Artifactory
- Perl, Phyton, Bash, Ruby
- GNU make, gcc
- Coverity, Lint, SonarQube
- Hudson, Jenkins
- Ubuntu Linux, Windows, Virtual box
- software packaging, release, and upgrade processes
- setting up new software development environments
- CMMI, strong understanding of QA and release and test management processes
- good verbal, negotiation and written communication skills (English and Dutch)
- demonstrated time management, project planning and organisational skills
