Operations (SAP MM,PP,PM,QM,WM) Lead urgently required for a new project in South Africa.

Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • Able to manage a team of over 5 consultants to complete complex deliverables within a program of work
  • Ability to work in a diversified environment and the team operating from different location in different time zones.
  • Ability to work with business to gather and analyze business requirements and ability to work with other IT teams (Legacy systems teams, etc.) in order to respond to business needs and requests. Should have the ability and desire to support the SAP production environment, responding to users' needs and concerns.
  • Experience in properly prioritizing demands from the business to improve the solution.
  • Experience adhering to the pre-defined templates and critically analysing any requests for custom functionality.
  • Experience performing functional mapping, gap analysis and recommending the best way to address those gaps.
  • Experience writing detailed functional specifications for workflow, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements and forms (WRICEFs). Ensure that the solution implemented is consistent with the overall direction and the end state. Ability to justify, in great detail, any required customizations.
  • Author functional specifications at the level required for possible off-site ABAP development. Estimate the customization and integration efforts required.
  • Assist in creating detailed project plan, when needed.
  • Ability to quickly configure SAP-ECC system to create rapid prototypes and demonstrate how requirements will be satisfied.
  • Create test scripts, perform unit tests and integration tests and work with end users on User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Provide guidance on continuous improvement and identify improvement opportunities that can be addressed through SAP OPERATIONS (MM,PP,QM,PM,WM) modules
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate with business users, stakeholders, technical teams, and various levels of management. This includes communicating system issues and business solutions in a clear and concise manner, along with ability to recognize your audience and tailor communications accordingly (Communication).

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. Significant equivalent experience will be considered.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of configuration and implementation experience of one of the SAP OPERATIONS module (PP,QM,WM,PM,MM).
  • At least 2 full life cycle ECC implementations including: Scoping and Planning, Process Design, Configuration, Testing, Deployment, and Post Go-Live Support
  • At least 3 years of experience in Business Process Consulting, problem definition, Architecture/Design/Detailing of Processes
  • Should have in-depth knowledge of the Supply Chain end to end process
  • In-depth knowledge of SD/LE, integration with other modules, and master & transactional data integration the order in which these must be executed
  • Basic ABAP/4 knowledge and debugging expertise, BAPI/LSMW/BADI knowledge, user exit and enhancement-point knowledge.
  • Experience of configuring IDocs into and out of SAP.
  • Previous supervisor and/or leadership experience desired
  • Should have good understanding of the South Africa specific localization.

  • Strong time management skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and handle large workloads.
  • Ability to develop, monitor and coordinate project activities, such as scheduling tracking and reporting and leads change management efforts impacting own projects.
