IoT Embedded Software Engineer
Our client, a global communications and media company, has a vacancy within their team for an IoT Embedded Software Developer (C, C++, Linux, RTOS) We are looking for a software engineer to be based on site in Antwerp, Belgium.
Education:
Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science;
Master degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Mandatory experience with Embedded Linux application development and C as programming language
- Experience with Real Time or other operating systems and other programming languages (C++, Java ) is desirable
- Resource constraint device/sensor software
- Network protocols (HTTP, MQTT, XMPP )
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS, SoftLayer ) and automation (Chef, Puppet)
- Git/Github
- Jenkins
- Overall profile needs to be a senior software developer with minimum 7 years of hands-on development experience
Technical & communication skills:
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously, detail oriented, and ability to work under pressure and short timelines.
- Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills.
- Result oriented and highly flexible (also with relation to tasks).
- Dynamic, start-up, and disruptive environment experience preferred.
Language: Fluent English is mandatory
Years 5+ years of work experience
A cloud basedscalable Internet of Things (IoT) management, monitoring and big dataservice. He or she will be responsible for the Embedded Virdata libraries, Embedded device integration as well as cloud hosted device simulation.
