My Federal Government client seeks the services of seasoned and experienced, SCCM subject matter experts for a Technical Specialist. This role will suit experienced contractors with previous government experience.

  • Will combine analysis, review and operational alignment of strategic business objectives for the team
  • Lead delivery against the operational, service plans and work plans and be responsible for allocated technical, project or supervisory objectives
  • Develop and update operations and configuration standards, procedures and designs.
  • Mentor, coach and coordinate skills transfer and training to other team members and support staff
  • Respond to support requests, managing customer expectations within an operational level agreement
  • When necessary, perform other IT related tasks as directed.

Experience

  • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) level experience in Microsoft SCCM supporting Desktop (Vista), Server and Infrastructure
  • Very strong application packaging experience and knowledge and understanding of packaging tools
  • Proven mentoring and team based knowledge transfer including technical document creation
  • Strong support skills across the full Windows stack including, Operating System administration, Monitoring, Patch Management, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, DNS/DHCP, DFS, printing (3+ years' experience)
  • Microsoft SCCM Operations Manager Administration
  • Relevant and demonstrated experience in Scripting
  • Experience working in an ITIL aligned environment with focus on incident, problem, service request and change management.
  • Ability to engage technically with strategic partners and vendors to support 3rd party line of business applications.
  • A strong customer centric attitude including a courteous and helpful manner.
  • Maintaining technical documentation, reports and records.
  • Security focused approach to support and administration
  • Demonstrated experience in working within midsized teams
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate technical designs verbally, diagrammatically and in writing.
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science or Engineering are desirable
  • Vendor qualifications and certifications are desirable

Baseline Clearance or the ability to obtain Baseline Clearance prior to the commencement of the contract are essential.
