Operational Risk Officer - Operations, Operational Risk & Controls, Financial Services
Our client, a financial services organisation, has an urgent requirement for an Operational Risk Officer to work with their senior teams within Operations to help them evaluate the operational risks associated with delivering their IT and Business transformation. You will work as part of the Governance, Risk and Controls team.
Key Responsibilities;
- Ensure that evaluation of risk and controls is built into decision making and objective setting
- Support and challenge the leadership to identify key risks and mitigating actions
- Ensure that risks are captured and reported appropriately and escalated
Essential Experience;
- Strong knowledge of governance, operational risks and controls concepts and methodologies as applied to IT risks
- Confident communicator with excellent influencing skills
- The ability to build and manage relationships at all levels
- Previous experience of managing risks in an IT development or service delivery role
- Experience within operations and risk and controls
Candidates must have a strong knowledge of operational risk and controls methodologies. A financial services background is essential.
