Senior IT Program Manager (CONTRACT) - Global Transformation - Mandarin speaker
The market leader globally in the travel industry is searching for an experienced IT Program Manager. Based in either Singapore or Hong Kong you will spearhead the rollout of its global and regional strategic transformation initiatives across Asia Pacific.
Main responsibilities & duties;
Regional Project Delivery
*Responsible for successful delivery of all technology related aspects of projects in the region.
*Specific focus on and expertise in delivery of IT infrastructure related projects.
*Drive successful project delivery against scope, timescale and budget.
*Ensure that all delivery activities are fully coordinated and planned/scheduled in advance to secure necessary resources, including that inward/outward dependencies with other work streams and other key programs are understood and managed effectively
*Ensure effective management of risks/issues with focus on ensuring early identification and resolution.
*Escalate any issues requiring management action to prevent critical path slippage.
*Report on progress to Program Director for onward feed to IT ExCo Steering Committee.
Global IT transformation
*Advocate the new engagement model between IT and Business Units.
*Establish IT credibility with business stakeholders.
*Interface with the Global Program Delivery function and other Global Technology Teams to ensure APAC programs are delivered in line with Global standards.
*Foster collaborative relationships with Global and Regional IT teams.

Data center infrastructure with knowledge of VM Ware, HP Blades, Firewalls, Citrix, NetApp, Load balancers, monitoring and DC operations.
Resilient hardware architecture, high availability solutions and low latency platforms.
Specific skills
Project Management Qualifications such as PMP/PgMP (PMI), Prince 2 Practitioner (APMG-Int).
Significant exposure to infrastructure implementation or related initiatives.
Education/Experience
EducationIdeally you will be educated to at least degree standard from a prestigious institution in Computer Science.
Experience10+ years of working in IT.
Experience of large complex global organizations.
8+ years of large scale IT project delivery in a dynamic environment.
Extensive track record of successful infrastructure delivery.
Financial Services or Travel industry experience preferred.
