Operational Risk Scenario Support

Reporting in to the EMEA Head of Operational Risk with the responsibility for the strategic development, implementation, execution and governance of the EMEA wide Scenario Analysis programme

Candidates must possess significant experience in financial services (preferably a Top Tier Financial Institution), Operational Risk (OR) domain expertise and demonstrated success in the facilitation of scenario analysis workshops and ongoing programme management.

Qualifications and Experience required

- Advanced knowledge of Operational Risk discipline and authoritative requirements, guidance and practices (examples include: Basel/AMA, Heightened Expectations, Enhanced Prudential Standards, Dodd-Frank)

- Advanced knowledge of Operational risk relating to multiple business functions in the context of a similarly sized financial institution

- Working knowledge of operational loss forecasting process and model

- Proven working experience at a Top Tier Bank in the field of Operational Risk

- Undergraduate degree

- High level of verbal and written communication skills, with comfort in regulatory interaction and executive presence

- Ability to build relationships with internal customers/key stakeholders

- Must be capable of effective delivery on a complex portfolio of activities within aggressive timelines

- High level of analytical ability, with capacity to expand knowledge base and subsequently apply to relevant task(s)

Skilled in:

  • Creating and writing program documents
  • Conducting and documenting scenario workshops
  • Developing remediation and mitigation strategies for control weaknesses
  • Developing and delivering presentations and training to associates and executives
  • Creating executive reporting under the direction of management
