Quantity Surveyor, Reading

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work on a contract for an international mobile telecommunications vendor based on their site in Reading.

The organisation is a world-leading telecommunications solutions provider serving 35 of the world's top 50 telecom operators, their products and solutions are deployed in over 100 countries. Over 1 billion people globally are communicating using the organisations telecom products and solutions.

The role is to manage the site construction costs for large telecommunications project to assess and evaluate costs provided by partner and suppliers. Reporting to the technical director you will be responsible for the following duties.

Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the suppliers and partners.

  • Undertaking costs analysis for project work.
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Preparing and analysing costs for tenders
  • Valuing completed work and approving of payments
  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
  • Management of subcontractors
  • We are looking for a quantity surveyor that is able to meet the following criteria
  • RICS/CIOB Accreditation
  • Degree or similar
  • Proven track record in the construction industry
  • Civils experience, telecommunication knowledge desirable
  • Experience and knowledge of network deployment and delivery projects
  • Professional & structured approach
