We are urgently looking for an Interim DevOps Engineer to start on a project ASAP with our prestigious FTSE client who are delivering some cutting edge data science and big data innovations
They are building a world class Data Science team with some leading talent and whilst they continue on this journey the need for an interim Dev Ops engineer on a contract basis has arisen.
The key skills and experience we are looking for are as follows:
- A comprehensive knowledge of AWS data solutions, including but not limited to EC2, EMR, Redshift and RDS, Glacier and S3
- A good knowledge of Chef or Puppet as used for the management, setup and scaling of AWS instances
- Good knowledge of at least two Scripting languages, preferably at least one being Bash or Python
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, SOAP, SSH, RPC
- Unix/BSD experience is essential, incl. good knowledge of command line
The following technical/professional working experience of is desired:
- At least 3 years' experience in DevOps (essential)
- Heavy virtualisation experience (VMware qualifications an advantage)
- At least 2 years' experience with creating, deploying and managing AWS based ops (essential)
