Job Title: Finance Director (Investment Banking)
Location: Liverpool
Contract: 7 months (with possible extension)
Rate: £700 to £750 per day
Essential Experience:
- Outstanding senior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills coupled with the ability to formulate and harness innovative ideas and initiatives.
- Senior customer and supplier relationship management experience in this category within a commercial environment.
- Track record of innovation in order to translate new ideas in to business strategy and deliverable business solutions.
- Demonstrable experience of leading and delivering significant organisational change and complex projects/programmes in a strategic business environment.
- Extensive Investment Banking expertise and experience in a Commercial role.
- Proven ability to lead, engage and manage people, creating a high performance culture in order to deliver against stretch targets both during and following a significant period of change.
- An experienced and motivational manager with an understanding of Emotional Intelligence and demonstrable business acumen.
- Proven Supplier Management and Project leadership skills
- A good working knowledge of Investment Banking with vast experience of leading the development, implementation and delivery of strategic high value Investment Banking advice.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of Investment Banking, costs associated with proving outsourced expertise relevant to supporting Government of key projects.
- Degree level or relevant professional qualification or equivalent.
- It is essential the candidate can demonstrate relevant recent investment banking experience.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for accounting procedures and payroll, contributing fully to the development of departmental strategy across all areas, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plan and targets.
- Preparation of financial reports and briefings, such as tax returns, balance statements, and any legislative requirements.
- Research, preparation and submission of budgets; ensure that all financial matters are in accordance with legislation and ethical accounting practices.
- Preparation and implementation of tender documents and purchasing practices; potentially, responsibility for insurance, licensing, contracts, supplier relationships etc.
- Provide direction and leadership to the department; Recruitment, motivation, selection, training and promotion of financial staff and participate in financial, human resources and strategic planning.
