ECS Recruitment Group are currently looking for a Motor Vehicle Lecturer (Mechanical) to teach students in Solihull (Birmingham)

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our academies at a time of growth and expansion.

* This is a flexible contract, 3-5 days a week, on-going until June 2015.*

This role would suit someone who has experience training, coaching or lecturing motor vehicle studies at level 2 or 3. We are ideally looking someone to be involved in curriculum and frameworks development who also would like to play a larger part in due course within a growing organisation.

Essential Criteria

- Appropriate industry experience (Motor vehicle Mechanical)
- Training or Assessing Qualification (PTLLS/AET/7307/Cert.Ed./PGCE or similar) or working towards
- Experienced delivering in a classroom & Workshop environment
- Ideally hold an assessor qualification (training can be provided)

Responsibilities;

- Deliver and train the Motor Vehicle curriculum in both the classroom and workshop
- Support learners in the classroom and workshop environment with Motor vehicle (Mechanical) studies (at levels 2 and 3) in-line with IMI standards
- Gather evidence, assess progress, observe work practises and update learner records
- Complete reviews for each learner in accordance with current procedures
- Provide 1-2-1 learner support when required
- Assist in the development of schemes of work, training materials and trainee assignments
- Act as a tutor to learners, providing academic guidance and support.
