Restart services as appropriate
Mitigate performance bottlenecks
Perform all activities in accordance to Problem and Change processes

TOOLS:
Maintaining - SAN (DS8K)
Make any changes to configuration of system services to meet actual requirements.
Manage dedicated network that provides access to consolidated, block level data storage (SAN).
Implementation of complex changes

Maintaining - NAS
Make any changes to configuration of system services to meet actual requirements.
Manage file-level data storage server connected to a network providing data access to a heterogeneous group of clients. (NAS).
Implementation of complex changes

Maintaining - IBM Storwize systems (V7K)
Make any changes to configuration of system services to meet actual requirements.
IBM Storwize systems are virtualizing RAID storage systems with raw storage capacities up to 4PB.
Implementation of complex changes

Maintaining - SVC
Make any changes to configuration of system services to meet actual requirements.
Manage SAN Volume Controller (SVC) = block storage virtualization appliances that belongs to the IBM System Storage product family..
Implementation of complex changes

Maintaining - XIV Back End controller
Make any changes to configuration of system services to meet actual requirements.
This is the storage subsystem which has the physical storage which is assigned to SVC. XIV comes in 1 TB and 2 TB configurations, but for SCE+. 1.0 1 TB is decided for optimum balance between IOPs/GB (IO's per Second per GB average) and cost. XIV does not have any single point of failure and has usable 79 TB Raid 1 type of protected storage. Multiple XIVs are added into each building block to meet the capacity requirements.
