For our Berlin office we are looking for an
Freelance Data Backend Developer (m/f) - Project-based
As Freelance Data Backend Developer you will work with our Business Intelligence team on a project (ca. 3-4 months) to help us design and build out our data infrastructure. We have multiple data sources including our production database, Webtrekk Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Zendesk, etc. Your job will be to help us bring those sources together into a new data warehouse and enable all our teams to have better data visibility to do their job.
You must be an agreeable co-worker and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial company. In addition, you must also be a creative, hands-on, innovative problem solver with the vision to help us define the future of Wimdu.
Your Tasks:
Redesign and restructure our data warehouse in conjunction with our Business Intelligence team
Refactor our ETL processes to work with the new data structure
Optimize database performance and monitoring to improve data consistency
Help improve and develop new code within an agile and fast paced work environment
Be involved in the fast growing big data space
Your Profile:
First and foremost, you are a zealous developer (m/f) – an educational background in the field of Information Technology or similar is preferable, although passionate career changers are also welcome
You have 2+ years of Data Warehousing experience
You have gained experience in relational database concepts with a solid knowledge of SQL
You are proficient in Python development
You are open, communicative and enjoy working as part of a team
You have a strong understanding of the needs of an analytics/data team
